1921 GIBSON A-2 Mandolin








Carved spruce top, bound top, back, sound hole and fingerboard, ebony head plate with “the Gibson” inlaid in pearl. Correct period tuners although there were other tuners on it at some point and there are extra screw holes which have been filled. No structural issues other than a section of rear center seam which is showing but tightly closed and stable. Original pick guard with patent numbers. Original bridge with metal, compensated upper half and patent numbers. Original tail piece with “the Gibson” engraved in it. Original hard shell case. Fantastic sound and great action.
