1971 GIBSON SG Deluxe w/Factory Bigsby

Vintage Rare 1971 Gibson USA SG Deluxe w/ Factory Bigsby. 1971 was the only year this SG Deluxe was made. It sounds and plays great. The action is low. The neck is straight. The guitar is light, and the Bigsby is awesome. These 1971 SG guitars have a really small neck, and allow easy playing. The body is cosmetically in good condition. There are scratches, dings, and areas of finish wear. The pickups sound great and are all original as well as everything else on the guitar including the original case.

1964 FENDER Deluxe Reverb - Pre-CBS Blackface

Fender Deluxe Reverb - 1964 Vintage Pre CBS Original. This is the 'holy grail' of guitar amps. One of the best hand wired, point-to-point amps of all time. Leo really nailed this one. This one is dated January 1964 making it a very early black face. Fender started making them in the fall of 1963, but very few went out in 1963. Jan 1964 is extremely early. Many collectors feel the earliest black face amps had a certain magic and were the best sounding. This one will not dissappoint. Note there is no Fender logo on grill cloth. They didn't start the logos until 1965. Replaced non original parts include: Speaker was replaced with a period correct vintage Jensen (same type as original), All power caps were replaced in August 2011 for safety, Reverb Tremolo footswitch did not come with amp, a re-issue that looks like the original comes with the sale, I put all new matched tubes in it about 6 months ago, no more than 40 hours on them. Sounds Killer! Otherwise it is all original. All transformers incl. power, output, choke and reverb transformer are original. (pics and codes available) Original handle, original grill cloth, original tolex. Everything else original. $250 spent on servicing the amp in August 2011 by a top quality amp tech. This amp is in exceptional condition considering its age. Everything works perfectly including the reverb and tremolo. The tone is out of this world. Have to hear it to understand. Very quiet on noise and hum. Very rich and pure on tone. Has the perfect blend between grit and clean chime. I'm only selling it because I would like an amp with a little more wattage.

I am the second owner of this amp, having acquired it sometime in 1969. Amp specifics: All original, super quality Fender tube amp from 1966. Model AB763, Ser# A18831. Date code ‘PI’ indicates Sep. 1966. Overall condition is very clean with no tears or mars in the tolex. All metal work is clean with no rust etc. Front grill cloth is in good condition with tiny tear bottom left corner. Original foot switch for reverb / tremolo. Jensen Vibranto 12” speaker (factory replacement 1968). An all around great sounding amp.

1970 Les Paul Deluxe Gold Top

Up for sale is a 1970 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Gold Top. As you can tell by the pictures the guitar is not 100% original. I purchased this guitar over a year ago from a gentleman who bought it 16 years ago from Songbird music, so unfortunately its exact 42 year history is completely unknown.
The guitar has cream coloured P90’s installed (I have no idea which P90’s as there are no identifying marks to be 100%, however after cross referencing some pictures online they do look like 1960's Gibson's) A Bigsby has also been added, kinda gives it that 1953 Les Paul vibe.  There are no cracks or repairs anywhere on the guitar. The body has some north/south “finish checking” which does not show well at all in the photos but it’s pretty evident in person. There is the usual “buckle rash” on the back and you can see the “pancake line” on the body. Basically in my opinion it looks exactly the way a 42 year old Gold Top should. So if you are looking for a shiny immaculate guitar that has sat in a case under a bed for 40 years…I would pass….this guitar could tell some stories I’m sure!
The most important thing is the guitar sings!!….Very Creamy P90 cleans, add some Overdrive and you get that classic raw rock n' roll sound.  I love this guitar I really do but I have way too many and this one is not getting the attention she deserves.
