1930 MAY BELL Parlor Acoustic
1930 May Bell guitar for sale. This guitar is a beauty and sound great. The fretboard and the frets were serviced, levelled and polished. A 1920's/30's relica bridge was made out of Honduran Rosewood. The bridge is fitted with a bone saddle and new ebony bridge pins. All braces are secure. The neck was not reset and doesn't need to be since the neck angle is fine. The origanal tuners work fine. The guitar body is made entirely of solid birch and is crack free. Aside from the bridge the guitar is in all original condition and plays great. This Style 1 May Bell guitar was sold by mail-order and through gas stations across America. Because of that they were hugely popular with the old blues musicians. Readily available and cheap, for the 30's. Basically some of the most authentic guitars you can get for old blues music. The tops and bottoms of these guitars are one piece.. meaning no seam down the middle.
