1982 GIBSON Les Paul Standard

For your consideration is a very nice Gibson Les Paul Standard in wine red and excellent condition. This stunning example is an amazing player with a very comfortable weight. Everything is original on the guitar including the hardshell case in excellent condition (all the latches work too).  This guitar has the original ink stamped 'Tim Shaw' pickups which are going for $600-800 a pair and sound incredible. 1982 was the last year that Gibson did not weight relieve (or swiss cheese) their guitars. That said, this one is a comfortable weight of roughly 9.5 pounds and is un-chambered. This guitar is not one of the infamous 'pancake body' guitars either! Other than the dings on the corner of the back of the body near the back plate that are through the finish, the imperfections in this guitar, including various dings and indentations, buckle rash and pick scratches are minor. This Gibson has had NO neck breaks, cracks, repairs, etc. There is plenty of fret life left and it plays like a dream and sounds absolutely amazing! Tons of MOJO on this baby and just graduated to Vintage status! This LP was made at the Nashville Plant, TN, USA February 10th, 1982 Production Number: 84.
