1974 GIBSON Les Paul Custom

I'm letting one of my babies go. 1974 Les Paul Custom. This guitar is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks. There is a little bit of buckle rash and some minor finish scratches - nothing through to the wood, and nothing not to be expected from a guitar that's almost 40. The blemishes are remarkably minimal. This axe was set up with 10's and it plays like a dream. The pickups are original patent pending and will cry, sing, scream, or resurrect the dead. It has a sandwich body, a three piece maple top, and was sold to me as all original - but it's a little bit difficult to tell. The guitar has speed knobs which are obviously very old, but top hats would have been more typical of the era. I can confirm that the plastic cover on the toggle switch is not original. The original piece broke off years ago and has been replaced. The switch itself has not been changed. The tuning peg on the high E string is bent slightly, but it doesn't affect the tuning or intonation, it twists properly - and is not noticeable unless you are looking for it. The original hard shell case is included as well. It's got some slight tears in the covering and some thread has come loose - but it's all cosmetic. The latches all work properly, and the case is very protective.
