60's TEISCO Hy-Lo Semi-Hollow Electric Archtop

I have for sale here a beautiful made in Japan 1960's vintage thin line semi-hollow body Hy-Lo(Teisco brand),fully re-conditioned and plays like butter with low action,a perfectly straight neck and no dead notes.Has a fully adjustable bridge and trussrod adjustment (many Teisco models didn't) Beautiful guitar but of course shows some 50 years of mojo, finish cracks, scratches, etc.Frets show little if any wear. These old MIJ vintages have become very desirable as of late for the unique tones they produce, and as more and more players are discovering how well  they were actually made. They can be found for somewhat less of course (yard sales, pawn shops etc.??) but not always in such a playable state "out of the box",especially where the hollow and semi-hollow bodies are concerned given their delicate nature and age. This one was in bad need of a setup again, and had some minor grounding issues between the neck pickup and switch, easy enough to resolve.Electronics are original and in suprisingly good condition given the instrument's age. This Hy-Lo Been has been sanitized and polished  inside and out including the pots, after soaking up some lemon oil for a few days before doing the setup, which explains why it's still such an eye-catching instrument.Another cool thing about the semi/hollow bodies is that they sound amazing unplugged as well! Missing is the pickguard and original tuners have been changed to sealed type chrome tuners.
